About Mr. Kasse
I grew up in Southern California going to the beach, playing tennis, soccer and baseball. I graduated from Long Beach State University with a degree in History. I moved to Florida, went to law school, and decided to be a teacher. My teaching career started with Eckerd Youth Alternatives, a residential, wilderness school. In addition to history I taught my students how to hike, canoe, traverse a ropes course, and to appropriately deal with real life problems. During this time I earned my Masters Degree in Special Education, and after 10 years of creating new positions, programs, and camps with Eckerd I joined the Wake County Public School System. My first school was Leesville High School where I was a special education teacher and tennis coach for 7 years. I transferred to Heritage Middle School and continued to teach special education for 4 more great years. This is my fourth year at Rolesville Middle School as a Social Studies teacher and look forward to sharing my experiences and passion for history with your kids.
I am married to a teacher, and I have three great kids; a junior at NC State University and a fifth and second grader at Harris Creek Elementary School. For fun I play and teach tennis, and squeeze in a little golf every now and then.
