Welcome to 6th Grade Social Studies
The following is an outline for success in Mr. Kasse’s class. Each student and his/her parent(s) are required to read, understand, and discuss the expectations of this outline. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Course Description
Students will study the emergence, expansion, and decline of civilizations and societies from the beginning of human existence to the Age of Exploration (through 1450). Please see the North Carolina Essential Standards for more information.

Classroom Routines and Procedures
· It is your responsibility to begin working as soon as you enter room 1312.
· It is your responsibility to bring your Social Studies notebook (HILL), pencil pouch, and agenda with you in class every day.
· If you are absent, it is your responsibility to make up all missed work. Please see me during homeroom to discuss your missing work.
